Cataract Surgery Support
Cataracts are the leading cause of avoidable blindness in India. At Maeyes Foundation, we believe no one should live in darkness simply due to lack of resources. Our surgery support program provides free and subsidized surgical care to patients in need.
Our Complete Care Model
We provide comprehensive care starting from initial identification to recovery.
Subsidized & Free Surgeries
Offering complete financial sponsorship for surgical procedures, including surgeon fees, operating theatre costs, and medication for underprivileged patients.
Advanced Foldable IOLs
Utilizing modern micro-incision cataract surgery (MICS) with state-of-the-art foldable Intraocular Lenses (IOL) to ensure rapid, stitch-less recovery and excellent visual outcomes.
Free Transportation
Bridging the geographical barrier by arranging free pick-up and drop-off services for patients from remote villages and tea gardens to our surgical centers.
Post-Operative Care
Ensuring successful outcomes through free follow-up examinations at 1-day, 1-week, and 1-month intervals, along with free supply of eye drops and protective sunglasses.
The Journey to Vision Restoration
A structured and patient-centric process that guarantees safety and quality care.
Community Identification
Patients are screened and diagnosed with operable cataracts during our rural screening camps or at our base diagnostic clinics.
Pre-Operative Workup
Detailed physical checks including blood pressure, blood sugar, and biometry (IOL power calculation) are performed to ensure surgical safety.
Micro-Incision Surgery
Under local topical anesthesia, a micro-incision phacoemulsification is performed, and a high-quality foldable lens is implanted. The procedure is stitch-less and takes under 15 minutes.
Follow-up & Recovery
After a short recovery period, patients receive eye drop kits, safety glasses, and complete instruction counseling before being transported back home.
