At Maeyes Foundation, our core mission is to bring accessible, quality vision care to the remote corners of Assam. On June 15, 2026, we organized a mega eye screening and surgery referral camp at Sivasagar. The event saw overwhelming participation from tea garden workers, senior citizens, and families from neighboring villages who face a severe lack of specialized eye care facilities.
Through systematic and comprehensive screenings conducted by our consulting clinical team, over 300 individuals were assessed. We distributed 80+ prescription spectacles on the spot to patients suffering from refractive errors. Furthermore, our team identified more than 100 individuals who were diagnosed with cataracts, requiring surgical intervention to restore their sight.
Maeyes Foundation arranged for picking up, operating, and providing post-operative checkups to these patients at Renu Eye Care Centre. The surgeries were conducted using stitch-less Micro-Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) with advanced foldable Intraocular Lenses (IOLs), enabling rapid recovery. This camp represents our ongoing dedication to preventing avoidable blindness in Northeast India.

Very well organized. The transport support to the Renu Eye Care Centre was crucial for the elderly who couldn't travel on their own. Great service to humanity! -
Thank you everyone for the kind words. Seeing the joy of restored vision in our patients makes all the effort worthwhile. We will continue our outreach drives!
